1940’s Entertainment
1940’s Entertainment is truly regarded whenever we talk about good music and theatre nowadays. Many musicians and artists have taken their inspiration from the people of 1940s. The most prominent part of 1940s entertainment was the music of that time. Music at that time reflected how America felt towards Europe since it was the time when the World War II was going on. Big bands conquered the music in the early half of 1940s. Bing Crosby was one of the most popular singers of that time. Frank Sinatra was also very popular singer of that time. While moving towards the end of 1940s entertainment, we find that Blues, Jazz, Be-pop and rhythm became quite popular. Modern jazz was first called Be-pop and then later on it turned into modern jazz. 1940’s entertainment gave us so many new forms of music which are truly acclaimed in the music industry of 21st century. Charlie Parker, Dizzie Gillespie and Herman were some of the people who helped in developing the modern Jazz form of music.
The entertainment of 1940s was no less than that entertainment in the middle ages and entertainment in the 1920s.
